This course focuses on Pain Assessment, Correction, and Movement (PACM) when problems arise with nerves that become impinged or trapped in joints throughout the body. Compression of nerves leads to numbness, motor weakness, muscle spasms, pain, and the development of protective scar tissue. Therapists will perform assessments and neuro-mobilization techniques, addressing nerve impingement and gain a level of understanding for neuromuscular anatomy. Therapists will combine soft tissue techniques and active stretching with muscle energy techniques. Therapists will educate clients on corrective home training exercises.
